Samantha and Ben's Aberdeen South Dakota wedding
Here is another great fall wedding I recently shot at Sacred Heart Church in Aberdeen South Dakota. Even though this can be a tough church to light, it is one of my favorites as it has some great architectural details that are hard to beat. Both Ben and Sam told me they wanted to have fun on their wedding day, and I have to say, it was a "great day" on that note. I absolutely love when my couples can be both romantic and fun which is a great description of Sam and Ben! Here are a few of my favorite shots from their wedding day.
Ali
Here is a recent photo session of a new Kid's Club member, little Ali who was just 3 months old. What a little cutie he is! When I have cute little guys like this, they make my job not only easy, but fun! I am going to enjoy working with him in the future as he grows into a toddler. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from his session.
Iley Grace 6 months old
Here is little Iley who is in my "Bebe Collection" membership. These are her 6 month photos and I have to say, I absolutely love playing "dress the dolly" as her mom and I call it. What an adorable little girl she is with all her hair! This is one little kid who does not mind us putting her in outfit after outfit for her pictures. I think anyone who takes a look at these photos can clearly see how much fun she is to work with. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from this session.
Jamie and John's Faulkton South Dakota wedding
This is one of my falls weddings of a couple who were an absolute joy to work with. I have know Jamie her whole life, so I already knew what a special person she was, but getting to know John was amazing as well. He was so sweet to Jamie, it was breath taking to watch. One of the comments made through out the day as we were taking photos was, it does not seem to matter what pose you put them in, the magic was there without any prompting. Even though they had a cold & rainy wedding day, we had a great time and got some amazing shots. These are just a few of my favorites from their day.

Michael
This cute little guy was about the easiest going child I have ever met. Michael was so laid back he just smiled and went with the flow for the entire photo session. It was actually raining the day his mom brought him, in so he was actually dressed in his little rain coat and boots. He looked so adorable in them, we actually used them as props in some of the photos. Check out the cute shots we ended up with from his session.
Ethan Steward
Here is another senior portrait session I recently took. Ethan was super quiet and easy going during his photo shoot and I have to say, I really enjoyed working with him. We actually did a location shoot at his family farm. I enjoyed taking the photos with the buildings and in the places around the farm that hold a special meaning to him and his family. He will be able to look back someday, and remember the days spent growing up on the family farm. We ended the session back at my studio and one of Ethan's favorite shots was his "James Bond" shot as he called it. Check out the images and I am sure you will be able to figure out which photo I am talking about!
Kyle Kaiser
Yet another summer senior portrait session I shot of another young man who I have known his whole life. Kyle is a very quiet, easy going young man. One of his favorite pastimes is playing his guitar so we used it as a prop in several of his shots. Kyle's session was actually rained out so we rescheduled his outside photos and went to the alleys in Aberdeen which ended up being some of my favorite shots. Check out Kyles images that are my favorites.
