Remember when we briefly got a small dusting of snow back in mid November?  Well Mike and Amy were the lucky family whose session was scheduled on the 1 day when there was a little snow on the ground. What a fantastic session with a fun couple!  I think the pictures will speak for themselves as you take a peak at the first snow of the winter session!

Briana and Andrew's Engagement at Carmen's Photography

This engagement session was shot in late fall in a pasture near Briana;s home where she grew up.  I was teasing them that it looked like they were in the badlands or some place like that.  What a fun couple. They like to spend their time playing and one of their favorite things to do on the farm is play on the hay, so we of course had to capture that as well.  These are just a few of my favorite shots form their fun session.

Heather and Randall's engagement at Carmen's Photography

Here is another Great fall engagement session I recently shot.  Heather's parents live down the road from me and I have known her since she was a baby so it is very special that I will be taking her wedding photos.  And what a pleasure to meet Randall, he is kind, funny and a very good fit for Heather. They had a rare late October date without wind and not too cold of temps. They even were blessed with a spectacular sunset which of course captured on camera.  Check out my favorite shots from their session.

Hanks newborn photos at Carmen's Photography

To me there is noting more precious then those first weeks of a newborns life.  They are so tiny and helpless and it seems like the weeks fly by and they are half grown.  I always feel very honored when a family trusts me with taking the first photos of their child and this was no different.  I had the privilege of taking Tara and Jason's wedding photos so for me, this is so perfect to be able to work with their family again.  Hank is such a beautiful little boy. I absolutely love all that hair and had a great time taking his photos.  Thank you Tara and Jason for allowing me to take his first photos!

Brianne and Ken's Chelsea SD engagement Session

Another great fall session with Ken and Brianne.  I have known Brianne for her entire life so what a joy it was when they asked me to take their wedding photos.  Ken is absolutely wonderful and a perfect for for Brianne.  Anyone who knows her, knows how shy she is, but Ken can make her face light up in a heart beat. He has a way of coaxing the shyness right out of her.  I am so excited for their wedding which is actually this weekend in Sioux Falls.  Thank you both for a fabulous shoot!

Alec's Aberdeen South Dakota Senior Portraits

This was a recent senior session I shot of Alec Janusz in Aberdeen SD.  What a nice young man and by far one of the easiest going senior boys I have ever met.  He was very quiet and easy going. We ended up getting some really great shots as he was super photogenice.  Thank you Alec I had a great time working with you!
